Flash Code can ANALYZE a set of codes in the following two ways: 1) Codes that have been copied into the Flash Code Clipboard (ANALYZE Element: SAVED CODES) 2) Codes that have been placed into the ENTRY screen
The current validation edits check for: 1) Nonspecific ICD codes (which result in automatic claim denial on Medicare claims) 2) Unbundling (the NCCI edit pairs, which can carry fines of $10,000 per incident) 3) Medical Necessity code pairs (NCD/LCD code pairs, which must be present in order to be paid by medicare for testing) |
