#12 Are all modifiers, listed when validating for NCCI unbundling, payable?
Flash Code provides the complete list of CPT and HCPCS modifiers to choose from as a reference tool. Many of these modifiers may not apply to the code that is being evaluated as part of the NCCI edit bundle. CMS has indicated which modifiers are "most likely" to justify the inclusion of an unbundle code on the same date of service. These modifiers are listed first and marked with a red dot. You must determine which modifier applies to the clinical scenario you are reporting.
